I enjoy being here at HIC because I enjoy dealing with students and helping them be proper role models for their peers at school and home. It is my pleasure to be managing this program as it is a great responsibility to nourish the youth of today as they will be our future tomorrow. jhalim at hicny.org

I grew up learning and speaking Arabic so it brings me joy that I can pass on this knowledge about the language of the holy Quran. As the prophet (PBUH) said, “The best amongst you is he who learns the Quran and teaches it to others”. I love teaching the Quran and Duas because I receive good rewards for myself and my wonderful students. It is also to increase my own knowledge. May Allah (SWT) accept our deeds and duas and reward us in Al Jannah! aidaramadan65 at yahoo.com

Assalamualaikum. I am continuing my education as a student at Business Technology Early College High School. It is great to have the opportunity to share my knowledge on Islam with the youth. I currently teach at Hillside Islamic Center, After School Quran Academy. It is in my best interest to help others learn to properly recite the Quran. I want them to learn and retain the knowledge of our deen and desire to project this passion onto our students. I enjoy teaching, and it’s an engaging experience working with children. I hope to make a positive impact on their early lives encouraging our faith within them.

Student at Darul Uloom New York. Completed my memorization of the Quran there and am currently in the Alim Course program. HIC is a wonderful community to be a part of and I enjoy my time as a teacher here. I enjoy inspiring students to be the best version of themselves and at the same time help them cope with everyday issues they may face in school. Teaching Quran and Tajweed is something that I enjoy as I feel that all students should have level of reciting Quran in younger years rather than later on in life when they become busy and occupied in other affairs.

The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم (said, “The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.” Sahih Bukhari 5027 The reason I joined HIC as a teacher for Quran Academy is so that I can teach others what I have learned. I wish to benefit the students so that they can acquire Islamic knowledge and to encourage them to implement it in their daily lives. May Allah accept my efforts and keep my intentions pure. Ameen.
